U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, th Eastern Region, Division 8, the 4 Rivers Division

 

The 4 Rivers Division is named for the rivers that are served by the members of Division 8, 8th Eastern Region.  The Division stretches from Memphis, TN to The Ohio River in Western Kentucky and encompasses the Mississippi, the Ohio, The Tennessee and Cumberland Rivers.  The Tennessee and Cumberland both are part of flood control and power generation projects that form Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.  Both of these rivers are unique in that they flow northward to the Ohio.

 

The Division is composed of 5 flotillas located at Paris Landing, TN, Aurora, KY, Cadiz, KY, Kuttawa, KY and Paducah, KY, also known as the Lower Ohio Valley Flotilla.

The flotillas promote boating safety through Public Education, Courtesy Marine Examinations, and Safety Patrols on the Ohio, Mississippi, Cumberland, and Tennessee Rivers. If you are interested in our classroom training schedule click here.

 

Our Vessel Safety Check Program is a free safety inspection of your boat. From Personal Water Craft to the biggest cruiser we will be happy to give you a free safety check. If you are interested for a contact in your area click on one of the flotillas above.
